The “Medica“ Zenica non-governmental organization will launch tomorrow, August 15, 2014, an information campaign for victims of reape and sexual violence during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“Medica’s” experience collected in the 22 years of work with victims of rape and sexual violence shows that women lack proper information and knowledge where and how to exercise their rights. The NGO points out that just 779 women-victims of sexual violence have secured for themselves the status of civilian victim of war.

“Medica” emphasizes that, so far, no comprehensive information campaign for victims and survivors of sexual violence in the work how they can realize their rights has been implemented in the country.

During the campaign, which will conclude on October 15, 2014, the radio and TV stations in Bosnia and Herzegovina will air the radio and TV ads prepared for the campaign. The ads can be watched and listened to on “Medica’s” Dropbox profile.
