Youth Initiative for Human Rights Kosovo (YIHR KS) published, on November 14, 2013, the latest report on the position of the LGBT community in Kosovo. The survey was conducted over the last year and included interviews with state officials (human rights units), judges, police officers, medical professionals and interviews with the LGBT community in Kosovo.

The Kosovo’s Ministry of Interior Affairs launched a new national campaign against trafficking of human beings on Thursday, September 18, 2013.

The one-month “Open your eyes” campaign aims to raise public awareness on the issue of trafficking of human beings.

The campaign targets children, youths and women who are victims or potential victims of sexual and labour abuse, Telegrafi.com portal reports.

The Centre for LGBT Equality demanded, in an open letter to the Croatian Sabor (the Parliament), to cancel the announced lecture by Judith Reisman, scholar notorious all over the world or her discriminatory and homophobic views, believing that the Sabor is not a proper venue for Reisman to give a lecture.

A public opinion poll shows that 56.2% of the citizens of Croatian don't want any meddling by the Church in the national education system. On the other hand, 35% of the polled citizens believe that sexual education, as a part of health education curriculum, is unacceptable for catholics and that parents should have a say and a choice what kind of education their children will have.

After the attack campaign that the Catholic Church in Croatia, supported by Catholic civic associations such as GROZD (Voice of Parents for the Children) launched against the newly introduced health education curriculum that covers the subject of sexuality, Civic Action association (Građanska akcija) demanded from the Prime Minister Zoran Milanović to take a firm stance towards the Church.

The launch of the Kosovo 2.0 magazine edition dedicated to exploration of heterosexual and same sex sexuality in Western Balkans, held last Friday, December 14, 2020 in Prishtina/Priština was disrupted by a group of about 20 men who rushed the stage at the Youth Centre (Boro Ramizi) and beat up one of the employees of the magazine, chanting homophobic slogans like “Out Pederasts!” and “God is great!”.
