Two persons were injured in the attack on the participants in the debate "Trans-sexuality in Transition" on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at the Art Cinema “Kriterion” in Sarajevo. About a dozen masked assailants attacked the participants of the debate, organized under the auspices of the “Merlinka” International Festival of Queer Film.

The International Human Rights Day, December 10, was marked last Tuesday in the countries of our region, too. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, activists in Prijedor and Sarajevo organized protest marches to demand greater respect and protection for human rights.

After the December 1, 2020 Referendum in which the voters gave support to the “In the Name of Family” initiative to provide constitutional protection for the institutions of marriage as a union of a woman and a man, the LGBTIQ associations and other civil society organizations came forward with demands for urgent adoption of the Law on Life-long Partnerships and introduction of civic education in Croatian schools.
