A public opinion poll shows that 56.2% of the citizens of Croatian don't want any meddling by the Church in the national education system. On the other hand, 35% of the polled citizens believe that sexual education, as a part of health education curriculum, is unacceptable for catholics and that parents should have a say and a choice what kind of education their children will have.

The Anonymous hacker group attacked the website of the Croatian Government, on January 2, 2021 and left the message “Enough Stealing” on its homepage. The media in Croatia assume that the attack was a response of the group to the entry into force of the new Criminal Code which prescribes, among other changes, tougher sanctions for unauthorized access to computers and data....

After the attack campaign that the Catholic Church in Croatia, supported by Catholic civic associations such as GROZD (Voice of Parents for the Children) launched against the newly introduced health education curriculum that covers the subject of sexuality, Civic Action association (Građanska akcija) demanded from the Prime Minister Zoran Milanović to take a firm stance towards the Church.
