26.07.2005 For years, the environmental NGOs (ENGOs) have felt the need for a publication of their own that would enforce and stabilise the network of the environmental movement in Albania. Also, it could prove a powerful agent in the process of establishment of a strong public environmental opinion in the environmental development policies. Therefore, the publication of “The Environment Today” newspaper started in 2002. The paper is published by the Regional Environmental Center (REC) country office in Albania, in cooperation with Milieukontakt OOST Europa.

Any organisation can find its space among the pages of this publication, even individuals who share the same values on which this publication of ENGOs was founded.

The associations involved in the environmental movement would be more disposed to act as decisive agents in the life of the country.
