30.03.2006 The Croatian Anti-War Campaign (ARK) and the Centre for Peace Studies will organize a round-table discussion ARK Legacy 1991-2005: How to Preserve and Present Material and Immaterial Records of the Work of the Greatest Peace Network in Croatia. The discussion will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2006, at the National and University Library in Zagreb, from 11:00-14:00 hours.

24.03.2006 Transparency International e Kroacisë prezantoi dje, në shkollën publike të Velika Gorica, informacionin e grumbulluar mbi të ardhurat dhe shpenzimet e partive politike parlamentare në 2005. TI e Kroacisë gjithashtu paraqiti parimet bazë që duhet të aplikohet në financimin e fushatave të partive politike.

24.03.2006 Krajem prošlog tjedna je urednik religijskog programa Hrvatske televizije pater Tonči Trstenjak otkazao suradnju Dubravki Naumovski koja je radila kao simultana prevoditeljica televizijskih prijenosa nedjeljnih misa za osobe oštećena sluha. Kao obrazloženje, spomenuti je urednik naveo činjenicu da se Naumovski razvodi od supruga, te da stoga nije prikladno da bude u prijenosima religijskog programa. Pritom je kao poseban problem naveo kako su za razvod saznali gledatelji i žalili se da ne mogu pratiti prijenos dok im ga prevodi žena koja se razvodi.

24.03.2006 The Transparency International Croatia presented yesterday, at the Citizens’ Open School in Velika Gorica, the information it gathered on income and expenditures of parliamentary political parties in 2005. TI Croatia also presented the basic principles that should be applied to the financing of political parties and campaigns.

23.03.2006 Danas je u Pučkom otvorenom učilištu u Velikoj Gorici Transparency international Hrvatska objavio podatke koje je prikupio o prihodima i rashodima parlamentarnih stranaka u 2005. godini te je iznio temeljna načela koja bi se trebala poštivati kad je riječ o financiranju političkih stranaka i kampanja.

22.03.2006 The Eko Kvarner association believes that the decision of the Government of Croatia to establish a working group for the construction of LNG (liquid natural gas) is wise and sensible. According to Eko Kvarner, the establishment of the Working Group creates the necessary conditions for quality selection of location of the Terminal, provided that all activities of the LNG are fully transparent.

22.03.2006 Udruga Eko Kvarner smatra da je odluka Vlade Republike Hrvatske o osnivanju Radne skupine za gradnju terminala za ukapljeni prirodni plin (donesena na 148. sjednici održanoj 16. ožujka u Zagrebu) mudra i razumna. Vjerujemo da su osnivanjem Radne skupine stvoreni preduvjeti za kvalitetan izbor lokacije za plinski terminal, pod uvjetom da sve aktivnosti Radne skupine budu u popunosti transparentne.

21.03.2006 Rasprava o Prijedlogu Zakona o registriranom partnerstvu Šime Lučina (SDP) i nezavisnog Ive Banca koja se krajem prošlog tjedna odvijala u Hrvatskom Saboru, završila je odbijanjem. Protiv prijedloga izjasnili su se u vladajućem HDZ-u, te opozicijskim strankama HSP, HSS te IDS. Iako je ovakav ishod bio predvidiv, ono što ipak donekle iznenađuje ili, u najmanju ruku, ostavlja pomalo mučan dojam je količina homofobije i neupućenosti koja je došla do izražaja u argumentima zastupnika većinske Hrvatske Demokratske Zajednice.

17.03.2006 The Croatian Sabor started yesterday afternoon the debate on the Draft-Law on Registered Partnerships. The proposal was submitted to the Sabor by Sime Lucin (SDP) and Ivo Banac (independent). The Draft-Law proposes expansion of rights of same-sex unions, compared to the rights allocated by the existing legislation. The Legal Team established by Iskorak and Kontra associations came out in public and demanded that the legal discrimination of same-sex unions in Croatia is abolished.
