AIDS - Don't Ignore It
Twenty years after the first clinical diagnosis that confirmed that existence of the "acquired immune-deficiency syndrome" AIDS became on of the most dangerous diseases that humanity ever faced. Since the start of the epidemic, over 60 million people have been infected with the HIV, and HIV/AIDS have spread around to the effect that it became the leading cause of death in sub-Saharan Africa. Round table on HIV/AIDS was held on October 29 in Prishtina, to share the findings of the study on Knowledge, Attitudes, Practices and Behaviours with Young People in Kosovo and discuss further steps to prevent HIV/AIDS among youth, governing institutions in the area of health, education and youth, local and international partners and media community.

With the aim to strengthen the fight against HIV/AIDS on the internet, the Iskorak Centre for Rights of Sexual and Gender Minorities established the AIDS.HR internet portal. Having in mind the general population in Croatia, the contents were adapted for average citizens, teen-agers, and other uneducated persons with proclivities towards risky behaviour.
