KFOR Commanding officer, Lieutenant General Xavier de Marnhac, hosted at HQ KFOR a multiethnic group of Children Ambassadors, which included some disabled children from the NGO Little People of Kosovo. From Film City, they delivered a letter for the children all over the world, with the message that we are all born free and equal.

Representatives of non-Serb nongovernmental organizations say, after the meeting held Yesterday, May 15, at the Gracanica`s Media Centre, that non-Serb minorities living in Kosovo are discriminated and are not stimulated to integrate into the Kosovar society.

A member of the United Nations police force in Kosovo has died of injuries he sustained in violent clashes with Serbian demonstrators in the divided town of Mitrovica. While, more than 150 people, including NATO and UN personnel, were wounded on Monday during running battles between peacekeepers and Serbs opposed to Kosovan independence.

In a letter sent to the Constitutional Commission and representatives of the international civilian administration in Kosovo, Roma NGOs ask for substantial improvements of the draft constitution which has been prepared by the Constitutional Commission on the basis of the provisions included in the proposal of the UN Special Envoy Martti Ahtisaari for the Kosovo status settlements and is currently under discussion.
