U idealnom slučaju, kada su svi odnosi sa okruženjem i pojedinim zemljama kojima se na toj teritoriji prepliću interesi harmonični, ili bar rešeni, taj početak nezavisnosti ima svoj nastavak u sedištu Ujedinjenih nacija gde se status nezavisne države formalizuje. Kosovo očito nije u baš u toj idealnoj situaciji. A nije baš da mu je neophodna samo politička nezavisnost već mnogo, mnogo više od nje.
