Protest in Solidarity with Roma in France

Protesti protiv deportacije Roma Several hundred members of Roma NGOs, political parties and Roma Minority National Council gathered last Saturday, September 4, at the Park of the Pioneers in Belgrade, joining similar protests against French Government's policies towards the Roma population that were held in Paris, Vienna, Rome and Budapest.

Journalist Teofil Pančić Brutally Beaten in Belgrade

Teofil PancicTeofil PancicTeofil Pančić, journalist, columnist and literary critic of the weekly magazine "Vreme" was attacked and severely beaten by two assailants, in a public bus in Belgrade. The assailants used metal bars and Pančić suffered head contusions and bruises on his left arm, and was treated for his injuries at “Zemun” Clinical Hospital.
